I was not looking forward to the third set of push ups for this week. My arms and chest has been pretty sore since I started. My left triceps has also been doing this wierd twitching thing every once and a while. However, it is a good type of sore so I decided to try and power on through and stay committed to the challenge. I procrastinated all evening and then decided to push them out around 10:00pm. The first set was OK even though I was pretty sore. Set 2 sucked but I got through them all. I was actually happy with the 2 minutes between sets since it gave me just enough time to recover. I was able to do the 2 sets of 7 then I was able to eak out 13 for my final set even though the last 2 were in pretty bad shape and form. Wooho! week one down. Week 2 starts Monday after two days of rest.
After some thinnking I have decided to try and rebuild the muscles in my body. They have had the last 10 months off and I really can feel it. I am a big believer in the creed Use it or Loose it. So I have decided to start using it again. I'm starting out with the push up challenge and trying to walk a mile every night and then add a little more every few weeks. The CIDP has only seriously effected my left leg, my left triceps, and my stomach muscles so I fiigure if I build all the muscles around the bad parts I can try and mitigate the weakness of those specific muscles. Well it's worth a shot.
